Ziva Solari has gone through life under a veil of apathy and instruction from her family, peers, and now her husband-to-be. The world around her is foggy and grey, yet she yearns for the sunshine to break through, to feel a lust for life. On the eve of her wedding, the reality of her relationship is revealed and her world of grey suddenly becomes black. Despite being ambivalent about the control for the better part of her life, marrying a man who does not love her the way she believed is a sacrifice she can’t take. That night, she flees into the land of the dead and comes across a stranger with sharp fangs and eyes of the sun. Upon meeting, she’ll soon feel more than a desire for a living but also a thirst for blood.
